Extract of “Une fleur dans le fleuve” (4:07)

Montreal’s Rwandan community meets in April each year to commemorate the hundreds of thousands of men, women and children murdered during the 1994 genocide. This audiowalk follows the route of the commemorative walk from the Berri-UQAM metro station to the Sailors’ Memorial Tower alongside the St. Lawrence River in the Vieux Port of Montreal. Listeners are guided through the streets and down to the river by the voices of six Rwandan Montrealers who share their stories.
